A nut is a component that tightly connects mechanical equipment, and can only be connected together through internal threads, nuts, and bolts of the same specification. We are familiar with and commonly use several methods for inserting copper nuts: hot melt nuts (also known as hot pressed nuts, which are threaded onto the nuts with an electric soldering iron, pressed into the injection molded parts, and then partially melted through heat transfer through the nuts) – injection molded nuts (the hole size of the nuts needs to be controlled within 0.05mm using a dedicated PIN pin) – ultrasonic nuts (the nuts are embedded in the rubber parts through ultrasonic vibration).


Secondary implantation –

Advantages: Short cycle, simple plastic hole formation, unrestricted implantation timing, and no risk of thread blockage.

Disadvantages: Nut costs are high, specialized embedding equipment is required, and nut structure requirements are high.


In mold molding –

Advantages:The plastic hole wall can be set very thin, high button tension can be obtained, and the nut cost is low.

Disadvantages: Long cycle time, thread blockage issues, easy damage to molds, and high scrap rate.


Ultrasound – .

Advantages: Commonly used welding process and shorter embedding period. Disadvantages: Not suitable for all types of nuts, often damaging nuts, difficult automation, difficult parameter control, and can cause plastic hole breakage.


Hot melting – advantages: easy parameter control, low cost of hot melting equipment, less plastic damage, no noise pollution, high degree of automation, and no damage to nuts.


The above are the advantages and disadvantages of various types of nut embedding. In contrast, hot melt nut embedding is better. Generally, hot melt nuts are made of heat-resistant and wear-resistant alloy steel.
